489 卡在境外无法回到境内满足887条件是坏事还是好事？

古语有云，祸兮福所依。 疫情前拿到489的一批客户，无法入境澳洲来满足工作和居住时间要求, 都很焦虑。在Migration Amendment (covid-19 concession ) regulation 规定中，目前移民局给出的居住宽限是加6个月，给出的工作宽限是加3个月。但是此法案也留了一个后门，开放了宽限时间可以在将来变多的可能,原文是Or a longer period specified in a legislative instrument

如果澳洲仍然实行边境封锁的政策，那么根据此法案的精神，不会有任何申请人会被疫情这个不可抗力影响签证申请资格。 The objective of the amendments is to ensure that temporary and provisional visa holders, including individuals who are on a pathway to permanent residence, are not disadvantaged by circumstances beyond their control, including border closures, restrictions imposed on businesses and the general economic downturn related to COVID-19.

那么我们志杰移民估计，在今后会有进一步的legislative instrument 放出更多的宽限。居住时间可以再放宽到1年，工作可以再放宽到半年。或者一步到位免除489申请人居住和工作要求也不是不可能。
